A mobile app that reinvents airline booking experiences by introducing a new light travel guide feature to drive engagement.

More travelers should be booking their flights on mobile devices but today, user data shows that mobile flight bookings are still at a lower rate from users booking their flights on a desktop. User data shows that users prefer relevance in their search results but also prefer a more "luxury" experience to accommodate their flight booking. Glide also needs a new brand that will compliment their mobile product.

Booking airline flights is not something we implement into our daily routine every day. But it should be an experience that engages the user every time, even if it's just for a special occasion. I was inspired by the Lufthansa Airline brand so I wanted to use a similar color palette for Glide Airways (yellow and blue). The color blue draws connection to the sky as well as representing trust and loyalty within a brand. I chose to use a globe symbol within an abstract "G" as the main icon mark. The goal was to communicate "world travel."

KEEP THE USER EXPERIENCE SIMPLE AND INTUITIVE

Let's present users with a clean, easy-to-navigate system without cluttering the app with ads and deals.

Now that Joi has saved her flight preferences in her settings, she is ready to start searching for flights based off of those preferences. She starts the booking process by entering her destinations and travel dates and proceeds to search for some departure flights.
